Our organization seeks a seasoned Director of Studies to lead the academic team and ensure excellence in teaching, assessment, and teacher development. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the teaching team, overseeing lesson quality and assessment standards, and maintaining industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic academic direction and oversee curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching resources.
- Maintain and raise academic quality standards across the program and deliver in-house training and CPD sessions for teaching and assessment staff.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of TEFL trainers and mentor newly qualified trainers with structured onboarding and ongoing support.
- Design, implement, and maintain clear assessment rubrics aligned with learning objectives and monitor assessment consistency and integrity across the teaching team.
- Ensure timely, constructive feedback is provided to learners and allocate teaching and assessment assignments efficiently.
- Manage timetabling logistics in line with teacher availability and learner demand and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth academic operations.
Essential qualifications include a TEFL qualification, DELTA or DipTESOL qualification, extensive experience teaching General English to adults online and in-person, and a proven track record in teacher training, mentoring, and academic leadership.
