Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process medication orders and ensure accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions
  • Receive and verify prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring they are complete and authentic
  • Prepare and process prescriptions, including counting, measuring, packaging, and re-packaging medications
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of medication verification and quality assurance checks
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication management
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to established procedures and standards

Requirements

  • Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to keyboard and operate related equipment, including software applications
