Job Title: Photogrammetry Imaging Specialist

Job Description:

This role involves working as a remote photographer for a photogrammetry project. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in photography, preferably with photogrammetry or 3D modeling projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Location Scouting: Find and access suitable buildings and props such as abandoned buildings construction sites and old houses.
  • Capture high-quality images for photogrammetry following best practices.
  • Ensure buildings and props are well-lit avoiding shadows reflections and transparent objects.
  • Shoot in indirect light avoiding plain and one-colored surfaces.
  • Avoid using flash and maintain a consistent focal length preferably with a fixed lens.
  • Take comprehensive photos from all angles to ensure complete coverage.
  • Avoid moving objects in the background and ensure static scenes.
  • Ensure the object of interest fills most of the image frame.
  • Take images with a minimum side overlap of 60% and frontal overlap of 80%.
  • Continuously move to new positions for each shot avoiding multiple images from the same spot.
  • Photograph multiple times in different patterns to eliminate blind spots.
  • Maintain camera stability to avoid shaking and ensure clear sharp images.
  • Capture a high number of images to provide better data for 3D modeling.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in photography preferably with photogrammetry or 3D modeling projects.
  • Strong understanding of photography principles and best practices.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency across multiple shots.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot and correct potential issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Physically able to move around and capture various angles and perspectives.
  • Proactive in finding suitable locations for photography.
