Crop Risk Management Specialist

This key position plays a vital role in our company's strategy of mitigating crop-related risks and delivering exceptional value to clients.

The successful candidate will support the development of our crop hedging strategy, execute hedging operations, and meet stakeholder needs. They will create technical analyses to drive the achievement of business objectives and key results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Operations: The specialist will be the primary interface with back offices of brokers, banks, clearing houses, and regulatory institutions for all commodity trades.
  • Production Collaboration: They will work closely with the production team, providing analysis and support pricing and derivatives.
  • Collaboration with Production Field Teams: The specialist will partner with field teams to improve understanding of grower compensation exposures and production forecasts.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: They will serve as the department's point of contact with key functions such as Tax, Controllership, and Finance, ensuring seamless integration and process alignment.
  • Process & Compliance: The specialist will maintain process design in accordance with internal controls and legal requirements, ensuring full compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Derivatives Management: They will support and prepare materials for commodity derivatives reconciliations, valuations, hedge position allocations, and reporting needs.
  • Derivatives Operations: The specialist will manage daily settlements, margin calls, fee/brokerage payments, and provide support for treasury back-office transactions.
  • Administrative Support: They will handle administrative tasks related to derivatives, including broker registration, contracts, and third-party payment management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Agribusiness;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI (knowledge of VBA and/or Python is a plus);
  • Proficient in PowerPoint;
  • Advanced English.
