Join a global team of financial experts and drive business success with our Internal Control Specialist role.

In this challenging position, you will work closely with the Internal Control Manager to complete annual evaluations of Financial Reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing control assessments, tests, and walk-throughs to ensure key controls are operating effectively
  • Mapping processes, controls, risks, and activities in South America Region based on Volvo's Internal Control Standards
  • Proposing new process designs to remediate issues and improve control effectiveness/efficiency

You will also provide support and follow-up on the annual Control Self Assessment program in SAP system and be a point of contact for questions related to the Volvo Group authorization framework. Additionally, you will act as a knowledge base for internal control initiatives, questions, or concerns and network within the Global Internal Control organization to learn and implement best internal control practices.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A background in Internal Control or Internal/External Auditing
  • COSO Framework knowledge
  • Experience in control assessment or audit in the industry segment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
  • Advanced/Fluent English and Portuguese language skills
  • Availability for occasional business travel
