Site Reliability Engineer Role Overview

We're seeking an accomplished Site Reliability Engineer to drive security enhancements in our production environment.

This role requires a strong focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles to ensure seamless system stability.

About the Job:

  • Lead operating system upgrades across our production and cloud environments to minimize disruption.
  • Manage software dependencies to maintain internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement patches for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) across our infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with the GRC team to remediate identified gaps and develop Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
  • Migrate and integrate SaaS applications behind Okta for centralized identity and access management.
  • Effectively communicate remediation plans and progress to stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on secure infrastructure and application development best practices.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in security processes, tools, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site reliability initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest levels of system stability. Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with security tools like Crowdstrike, Rapid7, Devo, ArmorCode, and others.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Experience with Okta or similar IdP solutions.
  • Scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers and their security services.
  • Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into the development lifecycle.
  • Regulated industry experience.
