Operational Management Opportunity

Selina seeks a highly skilled and experienced operational manager to lead our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and community-driven environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our property, ensuring that all aspects of our business run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping Operations:
    • Manage the housekeeping team to ensure high-quality service standards are maintained.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure rooms meet our high standards before check-in.
    • Oversee housekeeping operations in common areas, including public spaces and amenities.
    • Train and induct new housekeeping staff members.
    • Order housekeeping supplies and manage inventory levels.
  • Maintenance and Facilities:
    • Supervise full-time maintenance workers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Monitor ongoing maintenance of rooms and common areas to prevent issues.
    • Ensure quality of work and receive reports on maintenance issues from staff members.
    • Prioritize repairs and perform pre-emptive maintenance to minimize disruptions.
    • Oversee renovations and research/purchase maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Tours & Travel:
    • Train reception staff on Tours & Travel products and services.
    • Maintain all advertisement materials visible and arranged in rooms.
    • Clean and maintain Tours & Travel areas (Retail Shop, Wellness Deck, Surf Ranch).
    • Effectively sell Tours & Travel products at reception to enhance guest experience.
  • Property Security:
    • Evaluate CCTV coverage and operation to ensure optimal security.
    • Coordinate with security guards on a daily basis to maintain a safe environment.
    • Provide security for special events and functions.
  • Reception and Customer Service:
    • Deal with guest inquiries, comments, and complaints as a visible and approachable manager.
    • Central point of communication between operational departments.
    • Source, manage, and obtain contractors for services like elevator maintenance, fire systems, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communication:
    • Requests from and to businesses to ensure seamless coordination.
    • Monitor agreements with commercial partners to maintain effective partnerships.
  • Location Management:
    • Stand in for General Manager when absent to ensure continuity.
    • Address day-to-day issues in all departments to maintain efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in community engagement and operational management.
  • Education lover with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
  • Event production or coordination experience to handle large-scale events.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to address complex issues.
  • Cultural sensitivity skills to work effectively with international guests.
  • English language proficiency to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work under pressure to maintain a high level of service quality.
