Job Objective

Your role will involve enhancing and executing improvements in projects and products, overseeing support activities during execution and in the field, all aimed at fulfilling the requirements of both internal and external clients in the Controls and Automation domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specification of electrical and optical control systems, including sensor harnesses.
  • Approval of 3D models for electrical and optical distribution within equipment.
  • Facilitating Design Review meetings, gathering project input, and implementing enhancements.
  • Presenting technical documentation related to the scope of work during client meetings.
  • Collaborating with sub-suppliers and assessing the documentation received.
  • Potentially leading technical proposal efforts.
  • Assisting with Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) relevant to your area of responsibility.
  • Coordinating with planning, procurement, project management, industrial engineering, and quality sectors regarding your scope of work, including assembly and testing phases of the final equipment.
  • Conducting electrical analyses to verify voltage drop and ensure proper sizing of topside and subsea power supply and communication systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Control and Automation, or a related field.
  • CREA certification.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Petroleum Engineering, Subsea Production Systems, or Control and Automation Engineering are advantageous.
  • Experience in engineering, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, electrical distribution systems, and subsea optics, including subsea instrumentation knowledge.
  • Understanding of subsea production systems, particularly control systems.
  • Proficiency in risk matrix and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of international standards related to subsea control systems (API17F, API6A, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
