About the Role

Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Corporate Onboarding team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth onboarding of institutional customers in the LATAM region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for Corporate onboarding cases, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Take the lead on special assignments and projects, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and improve processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc QA checks to support the LATAM institutional customers-related teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and propose improvements to internal procedures and processes, particularly those related to institutional customers.
  • Support enhancements in Know Your Business (KYB), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Transaction Monitoring (TM), Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), and Human Resources Compliance (HRC) management, risk assessments, and audit procedures.
  • Support LATAM's compliance controls and Periodic Review of institutional customers for LATAM, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the LATAM Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in compliance applications and programming is a must, as well as knowledge of local laws, directives, regulations, and standards applicable to subject persons and upcoming regulation of virtual currency policies.
  • Conduct customer risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence (EDD), identifying and documenting unusual activity or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) flags.
  • Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other subjects relevant to the role.
Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a compliance-related role, with a strong knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Strong experience in corporate onboarding and different corporate structure types.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Superior organizational skills, strong communication skills, investigative skills, and attention to detail.
