Job Title:

Strategic Data Visionary

  • Develop business-friendly data models, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and stakeholders.
  • Lead the migration of SQL Server databases to Fabric and/or Azure, leveraging expertise in database design and PL/SQL development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement scalable data architectures to meet evolving client needs.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, providing insights into data architecture designs, migration strategies, and implementation plans.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data quality principles, with experience in designing and developing data models using industry best practices.
  • Experience across data architecture and data warehousing techniques and practices, including ETL tools like SSIS, ADF, or similar.
  • Proven track record in managing code management and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
  • Senior-level (10+ years) experience in MS SQL Server development and architecture, with expertise in Azure fabric services and Power Query (M query language).
  • Good understanding and demonstrated experience working with DAX, Power BI datasets, workspaces, and associated security requirements.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Premium capabilities, Power BI REST APIs, Python, and Databricks will be highly regarded.

Project Overview:

  • Collaborate with a top-tier hedge fund to develop innovative risk applications and tools from the ground up, encompassing systems for traders, pre-trade checks, analysis, risks, and limits management, trading activity reports, FIX connectivity, and market data providers connectivity (e.g., Bloomberg B-pipe).

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data architectures to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, providing insights into data architecture designs, migration strategies, and implementation plans.
