Drive impactful research with data-driven insights

We seek highly analytical and detail-oriented professionals to contribute to cutting-edge HIV and TB research in KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide statistical support and guidance for clinical trials and observational studies
  • Contribute to protocol and grant development, including study design, sample size, and analysis plans
  • Perform statistical analyses using SAS, R, STATA, or other relevant tools
  • Interpret and document findings in a clear, reproducible format
  • Write statistical analysis plans, results summaries, and contribute to publications
  • Analyse clinical trial and longitudinal data, including de-identified routine health records
  • Prepare monthly, routine, and ad hoc statistical reports
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary research teams and present statistical concepts to non-statisticians
Requirements
  • A Master's or Honours degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • At least 4 years' experience in statistical analysis within a research environment
  • Proficiency in one or more statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, STATA)
  • Basic understanding of clinical research and epidemiology
  • Experience working with clinical trial data or longitudinal studies is advantageous
  • High level of computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
