ROV Specialist I Job Overview

The role of the ROV Specialist I is critical in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and associated equipment for project operations.

This involves selecting and managing the ROV and equipment to optimize operational performance, maximize safety, and minimize costs.

  • Manage and supervise ROV and associated equipment to ensure compliance with legislation, company procedures, and industry guidance.
  • Liaise with Vessel Superintendents to identify and propose schedule Technician requirements.
  • Assist in setting and adhering to annual equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare financial and technical reports relating to the performance of maintenance and/or operation of ROV and associated equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A technical engineering background with considerable man management experience is essential.
  • Pleasant disposition with the capability to be authoritative when necessary.
  • Strong co-ordination, organization, and liaison skills with the ability to seek and gain consensus solutions to complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure ROV and associated equipment operate within established parameters.
  2. Develop and implement plans for maintaining optimal ROV performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
