Strategic Buyer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the transformation of our Procurement function, driving excellence and delivering results.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their negotiation and cost-benefit analysis skills to drive value and improve processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering, with 5-7 years of experience in a similar role. They will be passionate about the Procurement area and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role
  • Negotiate purchases of raw materials, paper, and packaging to secure the best conditions for the company.
  • Contact suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and place sample purchase orders for testing.
  • Develop and approve new suppliers, ensuring the quality and compliance of products.
  • Prepare and present reports to the Global Procurement team, providing insights and relevant information for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate purchases of raw materials, paper, and packaging to secure the best conditions for the company.
  2. Contact suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and place sample purchase orders for testing.
  3. Develop and approve new suppliers, ensuring the quality and compliance of products.
  4. Prepare and present reports to the Global Procurement team, providing insights and relevant information for decision-making.
  5. Manage product quality complaints with suppliers, including follow-up and negotiation of agreed values.
  6. Participate in meetings with suppliers, both in-person and online, to discuss contracts, negotiations, and other related matters.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Mandatory fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience structuring reports to the Lead Plant in Europe.
  • Data management – Excel and data analytics experience.
  • Power BI experience.
