Procurement Strategist

Optimizing supply chain performance requires a strategic approach to procurement. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing plans that drive cost savings and improve overall efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Strategic Buyer, where you will play a critical role in shaping our procurement strategies and tactics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, assess supplier capabilities, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your primary focus will be on optimizing the overall cost of materials, developing supply base and supply chain strategies, negotiating pricing, terms, and agreements for strategic or business unit-specific materials. You will also supervise purchasing staff within the workcell and provide training, tools, and resources to execute their job functions.

• Analyze and project component purchase prices that accurately reflect inventory value in standard costing processes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and price competitiveness.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present information to various audiences.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software.
