Senior Engineer, Platform Solutions Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Platform Solutions Management team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and design of RF satellite networks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain link budgets for analyzing beam performance based on remote and transponder capabilities.
- Create and maintain map-files needed to identify discrete service areas defined by satellite beams in the network.
- Develop capacity requirements for satellite networks by evaluating actual usage along with forecasted usage based on expected growth and feature support.
- Conduct research projects to improve-and standardize the design process used by the team.
- Interact with network performance and system engineering departments to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of network design practices.
- Oversee various satellite and teleport vendors to facilitate technical implementations.
- Review vendor contracts for technical specifications and capabilities.
- Understand and maintain regulatory requirements for satellite systems on a country basis.
- Analysis of RF performance for antenna and the associated RF systems.
- Propagation prediction and measurement using propagation modeling software.
- Budget for regional capital requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the satellite and/or telecommunications industry.
- Understanding of electromagnetics/physics for the development of realizable antenna/RF designs.
- Demonstrated systems engineering capability in programs that encompass system architecture requirements analysis design production integration test and transition into operations.
- Technical competency in the following areas: Link Budget Analysis Satellite Network design with Time Division Multiple Access (TMDA) systems such as iDirect Gilat or Newtec with an understanding of functionality performance and system operations.
