About the RoleThis position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective execution of the Compliance Due Diligence process for the American Express Risk Management Program in Brazil.
- Deliver due diligence on prospective and existing local participants, providing expert guidance on relevant Enterprise Compliance policies.
- Conduct thorough desk-based exercises and remote enhanced due diligence (as needed), reporting findings and tracking remedial actions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key functions like General Counsel, Operational Excellence, Global Financial Crimes, Compliance, and Internal Audit Group.
- Exercise independent judgment and engage in Compliance-related decision-making during interactions with Business partners.
Key Requirements:
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (verbal and written).
- Proven experience in a Compliance role, preferably in a regulated environment.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable Brazilian Central Bank regulations.
