Climate Action Specialist

As our Climate Change Regional Lead, you will play a critical role in driving decarbonization solutions and climate resilience across South America. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to drive climate action in the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

  • Lead Hatch's climate change consulting and engineering services in South America, covering Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
  • Drive regional growth, team development, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain client relationships across metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors in decarbonization and resilience.
  • Collaborate with regional business unit and business practice teams on external and internal climate change activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement climate change strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Manage engineering studies related to carbon and energy management, electrification, biochar, and biocarbon production and use.
  • Collaborate with global teams to develop innovative solutions and communicate Hatch's differentiated service offerings to clients.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, technical business development, and/or engineering leadership, with at least 3 years of technical experience in climate change mitigation, decarbonization, and/or adaptation. A graduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with proven experience in the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Required skills include strong leadership, excellent communication, and project management expertise. Additionally, proficiency in relevant software and technologies such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Project Management tools is essential.
