Role Overview

  • The Data Center Technician is a critical role within our infrastructure operations team, responsible for providing hands-on support to our data center location.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and coordination with the Data Center Manager
  • Troubleshoot and repair servers with hardware and network issues
  • Work involves hardware diagnostic and replacement of failed components
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities
  • Allocate in São Paulo state, however will also provide remote support to other data centers in the region when required

Requirements

">
  • S/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or related area
  • May be coupled with certifications to include CCNA, CCNP and JNCIA
  • Proven knowledge on Hardware troubleshooting and isolation test on high performance equipment
  • Proven knowledge on Linux troubleshooting
  • Proven Knowledge on TCP/IP networking, cabling, optic types, test equipment such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
  • Ability to identify issues root cause and process inefficiencies
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese
  • Able to serve as an escalation path for complex issues

Additional Information

  • Hands on experience with x86 architecture based systems
  • Experience with Linux or similar OS
  • Knowledge of network design, protocols and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of storage devices
  • Understanding of scripting languages
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate complex tasks with other team members
  • Proven track of providing creative solutions to recurring problems and last minute capacity demands
  • Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)
