About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analytics Principal Engineer to join our team at Kaizen Gaming Group. As a key member of our Analytics team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth through data-driven insights and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Team Enablement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the technical skills of our reporting engineers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Orchestrate Plans: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions, leveraging your expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Break Down Efforts: Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address technical gaps, ensuring our reporting engineers have the necessary support to deliver exceptional results.
  • Share Technical Expertise: Present innovative solutions and best practices to internal stakeholders, driving adoption and improvement across the organization.
  • Partner with Management: Work closely with leadership to identify and develop new talent, ensuring our team has the necessary skills and expertise to drive business success.
  • Mentor Engineers: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Establish Engineering Standards: Develop and maintain engineering best practices, ensuring our team adheres to industry standards and delivers high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • Hands-on Experience: Proven expertise in writing complex SQL code for data manipulation and reporting, with a strong understanding of data governance principles.
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience in ETL/ELT, data modeling, data warehouse architecture, and reporting tools, with a strong understanding of data governance principles.
  • Team Player: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to self-organize and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fast Learner: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, business processes, and team dynamics.
Nice to Have
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Microsoft BI Stack: Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, and Azure Data platforms such as Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, and Databricks.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python or Scala, with experience in CI/CD and Agile team-working environments.
