About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our global cross-functional team, you will be responsible for integration activities for our MCA control system.

In this role, you will map out and execute the integration test plan for the control system software architecture, driving validation and integration to ensure a robust system design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, software engineering, or a related field, with experience in system integration and validation.

You will work closely with our engineering team to develop and maintain engineering test environments and data collection tools, and will be responsible for defining integration test procedures in SysML for the control system architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and coordinate integration testing across multiple test environments
  • Develop and maintain engineering test environments and data collection tools
  • Develop automated testing procedures and strategies for whitebox level software components
  • Define integration test procedures in SysML for the control system architecture
  • Plan individual work for assigned features as input to project plans
  • Plan and manage development activities with cross-functional teams to ensure design status, readiness, adequacy, and test asset availability
  • Participate in or lead test plan and integration result design reviews
  • Communicate status on system architecture and stability to engineering leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or relevant experience
  • Experience in system integration and validation
  • Experienced with test case development and test automation
  • Relevant engineering experience
  • Ability and willingness to support hands-on validation in simulation laboratory and on-locomotive
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
  • Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS), and INCA
  • Experience accessing repositories using Gitlab
  • Experience with clean slate product development
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge and experience with INCOSE best practices for systems engineering
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering with SysML
