About our Job

We are seeking a skilled Freelance Accounting & Finance Operations Specialist to strengthen our day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting and bookkeeping skills, with expertise in QuickBooks Online and automation tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• Improve the set up / configuration of QuickBooks Online for our Canadian entity, including the chart of accounts, bank feeds, and automation rules.
• Manage and automate accounting and financial tasks such as reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and reporting.
• Migrate existing financial tools from Excel/Google Sheets into our new automated reporting app for two entities, including cashflow reports, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets.

Requirements:

• Solid accounting and bookkeeping skills.
• Digitally savvy, with the ability to streamline processes and leverage automation tools.
• Excellent Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive about process improvements.
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment: resourceful, flexible, and solution-oriented.
