Product Data Scientist

We are seeking a seasoned Product Data Scientist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for conducting product analysis, designing and evaluating A/B tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist in a product-focused environment, with strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts. They should also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an intuitive way.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers and engineers to design key metrics for different initiatives, analyze experiment results, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. You will also partner with the BI Engineering team to develop data pipelines and dashboards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting product analysis and answering insightful questions from stakeholders
  • Designing and evaluating A/B tests, including understanding power and sample size
  • Partnering with product managers and engineers to design key metrics for different initiatives
  • Analyzing experiment results to determine what is statistically significant

Qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist in a product-focused environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
  • Proficiency with Python, ideally data analysis/science packages like Pandas and Stats
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an intuitive way
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to sense-check output and correct errors before sharing results with stakeholders
