Lead Mobile Developer Android

At Thoughtworks, we're seeking a seasoned Lead Mobile Developer Android to join our team. As a key member of our mobile development team, you'll play a crucial role in driving the success of our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion and adopt best practices in mobile development, including writing clean and reusable code using techniques like TDD, mobile architecture patterns, design, and pair programming.
  • Oversee or participate in the entire software consulting and delivery cycle, from ideation to evolution in production and everything in between.
  • Use your passion for mobile development to help clients create a platform-appropriate, seamless, and human-centered experience for their users.
  • Design solutions and choose technologies that solve clients' problems while working within constraints and making pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Implement continuous delivery practices to improve software delivery speed.
  • Work collaboratively with product-focused teams to build innovative customer experiences and create meaningful change for a variety of clients.
  • Apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems.
  • Continuously learn and improve, whether through functional programming paradigms, modern UI patterns/architecture, platform engineering, or other areas.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading software development teams using Agile, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
  • Ability to help teams consider fundamental concerns affecting mobile software, including single vendor limitations, constrained execution environment, disconnected operation, discrete release cycles, accessibility, and privacy.
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of mobile DevOps/pipeline tools, such as fastlane, gradle, etc.
  • Strong influencing and mentoring skills, with the ability to advocate for technical excellence and inspire a team to deliver extraordinary impact.
