Job Summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to support project management by providing detailed project schedule planning and monitoring throughout all phases of the project cycle from development to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including Work Breakdown Structure, activity definition, duration, and logical ties, in conjunction with the project team.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, alternate schedules, and implement variables into schedule.
  • Support construction-related planning and scheduling analysis and control activities during the EPC Execution phase of the project.
  • Develop and maintain EPC phase construction schedule resource loading and leveling, and all bulk commodity design and purchase release curves.
  • Monitor and report EPC phase critical path and schedule performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform P6 schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to identify criticality of schedule activities.
  • Identify alternatives for EPC schedule improvement and prepare recovery plans as needed.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary EPC schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
  • Perform project performance monitoring and control functions.
  • Analyze quantity and cost information and predict changes and trends.
Requirements
  • Experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting schedule information in engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
  • Knowledge in the use of computers for executing work processes.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
  • Advanced proficiency in using PC operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated advanced capability level with Primavera (P6) and experience in its application on complex engineering and construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present planning and scheduling products.
  • Prior power generation/industrial plant construction and commissioning experience.
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from a four-year college or university, and seven to ten years related experience on industrial construction projects.
  • International business experience desirable.
  • Language Skills: English and Portuguese are required at a working level, Spanish appreciated.
