We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Global Trade and Product Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for imported products.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement large-scale project plans, set policies, and drive multiple-system impacting workstreams.
- Work with Amazon's Global Product Compliance team to establish and implement processes to execute against established policies.
- Partner with technology stakeholders to drive efficiencies and scale through technology solutions.
- Participate in proposed new regulations with Legal, Tax, and Public Policy teams.
- Identify and influence the development of new programs/products and services with service leaders across Amazon.
- 6+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with Brazilian product safety/consumer compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in implementing processes to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Deep knowledge of Brazilian regulatory requirements for at least one product category.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
- Master's degree or equivalent.
- Retail industry experience.
