The Opportunity

We are hiring a Fullstack Software Engineering Manager to join our Wellz team in Brazil. As a Fullstack Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of highly autonomous, proactive, and motivated engineers in developing our online mental health care product.

Your Impact
  • Lead a team of engineers to design and develop complex modern web applications.
  • Drive critical projects from architectural design to implementation.
  • Plan the capacity of your team to handle the product roadmap.
  • Monitor and own your team's health, promoting a highly psychologically safe environment.
  • Address code complexity, keeping everything as simple as possible.
  • Write and deliver code that enhances overall company quality standards.
  • Plan and successfully deliver cross-team projects.
  • Avoid all-in projects, breaking them down into smaller viable launches.
  • Propose solution options to problems presented by stakeholders and product managers.
  • Provide estimates on efforts and risks, evaluating technical feasibility on high-impact projects.
  • Execute waves of architectural changes to improve outcome, efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Help establish a roadmap and long-term vision in partnership with PMs and PDs.
  • Contribute to work and projects to establish company-wide best practices.
  • Live the mission, inspiring and empowering others by genuinely caring for their wellbeing and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in designing and developing complex modern web applications.
  • Experience with backend stacks such as Golang and/or NodeJs, and frontend with React.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs in collaboration with other teams.
  • Experience in Cloud-based architectures (AWS/GCP).
  • Proficiency in automated testing and applying it on a daily basis.
  • Strong communication skills, both in English and Portuguese.
  • Ability to balance responsibilities and wellbeing, advising the team to do the same.
