About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced senior software engineer to drive the growth of our text-to-speech application, which is currently the most used in the Play Store.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Owning major features and collaborating closely with our design team to deliver high-quality features.
  • Shaping the future of our Android team and driving innovation.
  • Ensuring reliability metrics for key features and participating in discussions across different teams.
  • Reviewing code, supporting teammates, and handling critical issues or unexpected challenges.
  • Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition, user empathy, and a drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Strong understanding of tests and test-writing approaches.
  • Rock-solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects in Android.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
