R&D Assistant Scientist Job Description

Kenvue is a leading company in the development of everyday care products, built on over a century of heritage and rooted in science. We're seeking a highly skilled R&D Assistant Scientist to join our team in São José dos Campos/SP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new prototypes for engineered products with innovative and strategic approaches, considering consumer insights, cost restrictions, compliance guidelines, sustainability, and manufacturing site impact.
  • Support, plan, and execute trials for LCM/NPI projects in pilot plant and manufacturing sites.
  • Proactively investigate and develop improvements to existing products and processes.
  • Establish partnerships with manufacturing plants, engineering, and external partners in Latam to implement new products and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Generate, organize, and compile documentation for registration processes, aligned with ANVISA guidelines or other regulatory agencies.
  • Lead change control, investigation processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead claims discussions and demos creation, aligning with key stakeholders.
  • Design and execute scientific experiments and procedures under direct supervision, leveraging established methodology and protocols.
  • Assist in developing and updating protocols, test methods, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct product validation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in product development or analysis of products is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Intermediate English.
