Scientific Researcher

Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for contributing to the development of new additives/mineral solutions/formulation services/new processes, conducting literature and intellectual property landscape evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for complex and new-to-Imerys projects and technology developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-house scientific experiments to develop proprietary and high-value new technologies/products/applications/skill sets
• Interpret, evaluate, and communicate research data and results for research projects – write research reports to document research results
• Write Invention Disclosures/Reports, draft Intellectual Property, and assist in prosecuting patent applications
• Provide technical support for initial testing of prototypes at customers
• Manage one or several research projects with technicians, other scientists, or external resources, including planning and budgeting supported by the project management tool
• Participate in cross-functional teams for especially complex and new-to-Imerys projects and technology developments
• Attend technical conferences, present research papers, and publish research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in a relevant field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
