Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complete mechanical systems from requirements analysis to testing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in 3D modeling, machining, sheet metal, assembly, and commissioning.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems, including requirements analysis, design, validation, manufacturing follow-up, assembly, and testing;
  • Selecting components, materials, processes, and technologies based on cost, quality, and performance objectives;
  • Providing technical support to internal clients;
  • Collaborating with other departments to resolve technical issues, analyze recurring causes, and recommend improvements;
  • Participating in technical documentation activities and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of design and development practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing (machining, sheet metal), assembly, and commissioning;
  • Proficiency in mechanical principles: geometric tolerances, strength of materials, pneumatics, risk analysis;
  • Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or equivalent software);
  • Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and under tight deadlines;
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with colleagues and suppliers;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken);
  • Experience in an automated or regulated manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma);
  • Ability to propose innovative solutions while maintaining a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
