Job Title: Welding Instructor
Description:
- Develop and execute comprehensive training programs, ensuring seamless delivery of presentation materials/equipment.
- Conduct competency gap analysis on workforce skills and design targeted training initiatives to bridge the gaps as per company requirements.
- Present engaging and informative training sessions with a strong focus on Oil & Gas assets, guaranteeing efficient knowledge transfer.
- Craft compelling training content in a professional and stimulating manner, catering to diverse learning styles.
- Create and implement various levels of training programs to meet company needs, encompassing Classroom and OJT activities.
- Deliver individualized competency development training with a holistic approach, incorporating SHE and WMS considerations aligned with client and Iraq government regulations.
- Evaluate students' capabilities and refine program material/presentation as needed to maximize their learning potential.
- Maintain accurate records of program performance, completion, attendance, evaluation, and perform LMS data input functions as defined by the client Training Management.
- Foster effective collaboration with Company personnel and other stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
- Ensure all students engage positively in the learning experience.
- Provide support and encouragement to students facing challenges.
- Evaluate students' capabilities and modify program presentation as needed to maximize their learning.
- Maintain precise records of program performance, completion, attendance, evaluation, and perform LMS data input functions as defined by the client HR Training Management.
- Operate training facilities instructional and presentation equipment efficiently.
- Ensure developed training material is submitted for archiving by the Document Controller.
Craft Assessment & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Training Supervisor and Discipline Superintendent to establish/review assessment criteria.
- Conduct assessments on O&M personnel to identify gaps in craft competencies.
- Present assessments in a professional, interesting, and stimulating manner.
- Guarantee all students engage positively in assessment experience.
- Assist and encourage students to provide evidence of prior formal training and previous work experience.
- Refine assessment process as needed to maximize students' involvement.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all assessments planned and completed.
- Ensure developed assessment material is presented for archiving by the Document Controller.
Qualifications:
- Education: University Degree: Any discipline & Accredited Assessor license.
- Technical Skills Required:
- Strong oil & gas upstream operational, technical, or supervisory background.
- Knowledgeable of/competent with basic upstream oil & gas operational programs.
- Competent/experienced with upstream oil & gas and craft training programs.
- Excellent training presentation, coordination, evaluation, & planning skills.
- Proficient computer skills; presentation, spreadsheets, document preparation.
- Proven competence with procedure development and presentation software.
- Able to communicate technical information and procedures effectively to students of varying levels.
- Personal Skills:
- A minimum of 10 years in a similar role with 5 years' experience OJT/Classroom Training.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Upstream and Downstream businesses.
- Preferably holds an accredited Assessor Qualification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-culture and multi-company environments.
- Bi-Lingual (English/Arabic) ability preferred but not required.
