Mainframe Application Specialist

Our team is looking for a skilled Mainframe Application Specialist to join our ranks. As a key member of our technology division, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and testing of mainframe applications. Your expertise in programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, Easytrieve, and REXX/CLIST will enable you to create efficient and reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support mainframe applications using various programming languages and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions.
  • Perform database operations and validations using DB2, IMS DB, and IDMS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Test online applications running on CICS and IMS DC, identifying and resolving defects efficiently.
  • Conduct unit, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support UAT cycles and assist users with test execution and defect resolution, providing excellent customer service.
  • Use debugging tools such as Abend-AID, Xpediter, and IBM Debug Tool, and data utilities like SORT, IDCAMS, and IEBGENER to troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage source code and packages using Panvalet, ChangeMan, Endevor, and Git, ensuring version control and collaboration.
  • Document test cases, results, and root cause analyses, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base.
