About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations.

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with our site operations team to execute company safety policies and ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our associates.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations and Amazon safety policies.
  • Measure site performance against published safety requirements and identify deficiencies to develop plans to address them.
  • Deliver on-time and quality safety projects to Operations.
  • Implement continuous improvement and WHSMS projects.
  • Analyze safety metrics and review incident data to identify trends and allocate resources effectively.
  • Perform site safety audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Audit record-keeping practices and safety database entries to ensure alignment with standards and regulations.
  • Audit workplace organization and associate behaviors to ensure training and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
Requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Technical course in Occupational Safety with registration at the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE).
Preferred Qualifications
  • English language proficiency.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
