We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Regional Accounting team in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

  • Closely involved in month-end process including preparation of journal entries, accruals, Intercompany transactions, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and detailed supporting analysis and relevant documentation;
  • Preparation of monthly closing reports in accordance with US GAAP;
  • Review of own accounting work;
  • Proactive communication of potential issues to the Controller;
  • Actively drive continuous process improvements and innovations;
  • Assist and support in statutory and Sox audits;
  • Help the team to meet and exceed department goals;
  • Managing ad-hoc accounting and operational assignments;

The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, along with a relevant accounting degree (e.g. SPD, ACCA or Bachelor Accounting level).

Strong IT experience in financial systems, including SAP (preferable), is also required.

In addition, the candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills.

The Accountant must be able to deal with complex accounting reconciliations, think critically and creatively, and demonstrate a responsible and proactive attitude.
