We're looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance, distributed systems using Elixir.
About the RoleThis is a challenging role that requires a deep understanding of concurrent programming, fault-tolerant architecture, and system design. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend features and APIs in Elixir, ensuring safety and efficiency for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop: Develop, test, and deploy backend features and APIs in Elixir, leveraging OTP principles and actor model.
- Craft Reliable Systems: Design reliable backend systems and APIs for complex financial operations, focusing on scalability, performance, and concurrency.
- Optimize & Solve: Investigate issues and improve system performance, concurrency, and scalability, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate & Plan: Participate in planning, estimation, and scoping with product and engineering teams, contributing to the overall success of the project.
- Mentor & Learn: Review code, pair program, and contribute to continuous improvement, helping to shape the technical direction of the company.
- AI-First Mindset: Familiarity with AI tools like GPT and open-source LLMs, integrating them into workflows.
- Elixir Expertise: Solid experience with Elixir, Phoenix, OTP principles, and actor model, with a focus on clean code and maintainability.
- Clean Code Advocate: Strong commitment to writing clean, modular, and well-tested code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
