About the Role

The R&D Assistant Scientist is a key member of our team, responsible for performing R&D activities to implement projects related to new product development, product/material cost reduction, and improvements to existing products for Engineered Products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new prototypes for engineering products with innovative and strategic approaches, considering consumer insights, cost restrictions, compliance guidelines, sustainability, and the impact on manufacture sites.
  • Support, plan, and execute trials for LCM/NPI projects in pilot plant and manufacturing sites.
  • Proactively investigate and develop improvements to existing products/processes.
  • Establish partnerships with Manufacturing plant, Engineering, and external partners from Latam to implement new products and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Generate, organize, and compile documentation for registration processes, aligned with ANVISA guidelines or other regulatory agencies.
  • Lead Change control, investigation processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead claims discussions and demos creation, aligning with key stakeholders.
  • Design and execute scientific experiments and procedures under direct supervision, leveraging established methodology and protocols.
  • Assist in developing and updating protocols, test methods, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct product validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Product Development or Analysis of Products is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Intermediate English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with relevant software and data analysis tools.
  • Working knowledge in statistical analysis with familiarity in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, etc.) would be a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.
  • Ability to influence others highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with Engineered products (absorbents, diapers, bandages, etc).
  • Basic Spanish.
