About the Role

As a Medical Science Liaison II at PTC Therapeutics, you will play a crucial role in supporting and representing our company with key opinion leaders, clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations. Your primary goal will be to establish long-term relationships and ensure safe and effective utilization of our products.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Attend national and regional medical meetings and symposiums as a representative of PTC, engaging in discussions with attendees, gathering information, and summarizing findings.
  2. Deliver fair-balanced and objective clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, payors, patients' organizations, and other stakeholders.
  3. Identify and train speakers for advisory boards, symposia, and educational programs, using regulatory-approved materials.
  4. Organize and carry out regional medical initiatives, such as advisory boards, as needed.
  5. Provide input to management regarding alternative therapies, business development opportunities, risks, and client feedback.
  6. Maintain successful relations with relevant health authorities, including key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, payors, patient organizations, and others.
  7. Facilitate the accurate and timely submission of applications for unrestricted educational grants or research initiatives and requests for support of studies, per company policy.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in health sciences or a scientific discipline is required.
  • Solid experience working as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry is necessary.
  • Previous experience working with orphan/rare diseases is essential.
  • Advanced English level (oral and written) is required.
  • Competence in leading teams and managing projects is necessary.
  • Demonstrated success in interpreting scientific data and presenting research information to scientists and healthcare professionals is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including scientific/technical writing and presentations, are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills and capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams is required.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines is necessary.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
