Quality Assurance Expert Role Overview

At AgileEngine, we're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance expert to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through comprehensive manual testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute thorough manual test cases and test scripts based on system specifications and requirements.
  • Develop multiple test scenarios, including non-traditional test cases, negative testing, edge cases, and performance considerations, to ensure robust product validation.
  • Closely collaborate with the development team to understand requirements, plan testing processes, and identify issues for correction.
  • Create detailed logs to document testing phases and identify defects.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams, primarily using Jira.
  • Troubleshoot issues and help identify root causes of defects.
  • Manage and maintain test cases, test scripts, test reports, and test documentation, with experience in tools like Xray.
  • Actively participate in Agile-Scrum development processes, providing valuable feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in manual testing.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Selenium and Python programming.
  • Proven expertise in planning, designing, writing, and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Xray, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Good understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic database knowledge (e.g., MySQL, Postgres).
  • Experience in testing application software hosted in the cloud (AWS environments preferred).
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop multiple scenarios, incorporating negative testing and edge cases.
  • Quick learner with a passion for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and proactive approach, demonstrating initiative in work.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including good sense of priority management and ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
