Head of Data Job Description

As the Head of Data, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our business objectives and enhances our gaming offerings. You will lead a team of talented data engineers and analysts, ensuring the efficient collection, storage, and analysis of data. This role requires a combination of strategic vision and hands-on expertise to optimize our data infrastructure, drive insights, and support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust data strategy that supports business growth and innovation.
  • Define data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and improvement, and capitalize on them.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists to achieve exceptional results.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the data team.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data architecture, data management, and analytics.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure to support analytical and operational needs.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and big data technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for data-related matters, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with the executive team to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in a data leadership role, preferably within the iGaming or tech industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with data tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data strategies that drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AWS products.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
