Division Vice President Operations

BluePearl is seeking a seasoned leader to fill the role of Division Vice President of Operations for our West Division. This position is responsible for directing and planning the operations of a defined region to maximize returns on investments and increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with the Division Vice President, Medicine to optimize business performance and clinical culture.
- Implement cost containment strategies to maintain profitability and growth while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Assist senior leadership in developing, implementing, and managing organizational initiatives and strategies.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for direct reports to maintain an engaged and high-performance workforce.
- Ensure the development of operational leaders and create a pipeline of talent to support future organizational growth.
- Ensure the provision of remarkable patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Engage hospital leaders in associate engagement and retention efforts.
- Interact with all levels of the organization to manage the business, including senior executives.
- Implement organizational policies and procedures.
- Oversee the application and implementation of established policies and the control and effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
- Manage profit and loss for hospitals within the region, ensuring optimal performance to achieve or exceed budgets and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with Vet Relations Manager(s) to develop and implement a regional marketing plan to support growth and profitability.
- Implement operational efficiency improvements, including standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and client satisfaction.
- Drive staffing, charge capture, and inventory management models, as well as business initiatives, including prompt implementation of action plans to correct hospital below-threshold performance.
- Negotiate and approve clinician offers as needed.
- Ensure all associates receive required training and education according to organizational policy and risk management initiatives.
- Provide oversight of privacy and security aspects and issues, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel as appropriate to resolve legal and litigation issues.
- Maintain environmental integrity, including safety of all facilities within the region.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to respond to merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Maintain current knowledge regarding regional veterinary services market and industry issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required, relevant master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience.
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization of work, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead through influence, develop trust, and relationships across the division.
- Travel of 50% required.
