We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with strong Python or Rust coding expertise to join our software engineering team.
This is a key role that will evolve our instant-quote product and the underlying technology platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design, code, test, and deploy software solutions using HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and Rust programming languages.
- Closely collaborate with engineers and product managers within an autonomous, cross-functional team.
- Manage operational aspects of services, including deployment in AWS and Kubernetes, and participate in on-call rotations.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a fast-paced technical environment as a software developer.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including normalization, constraints, transactions, replication, and sharding.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic, multitasking ability, and good communication skills.
- Support for personal growth in a dynamic environment.
- Possibility to lead initiatives related to service-oriented architectures.
