Electrician Manager

A senior electrician plays a pivotal role in the operation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems onboard a drillship.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with applicable governing requirements to uphold industry standards.
- Conduct daily detailed planning for all upcoming operations to guarantee seamless execution.
- Maintain effective communication with all involved parties to foster collaboration and problem-solving.
- Verify that technical certifications are valid and available onboard to ensure personnel safety.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance competence as assigned and/or required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Provide clear guidance to direct reports on relevant governing documents and procedures.
- Revised governing documents as and when required to stay compliant.
- Monitor daily operations closely to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and update records as per requirements.
- Perform thorough handovers at each daily change of shift to ensure continuity.
- Maintain equipment and perform regular maintenance checks to prevent downtime.
- Ensure operational preparedness of safety and emergency equipment at all times.
- Manage spare parts and materials effectively to minimize delays.
