Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our team in the design and development of bulk material handling equipment. This role involves hands-on engineering, providing direct support during equipment breakdowns and repairs, and driving global initiatives to ensure reliable operation and enhancement of critical mining equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in machine design, structural analysis, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software and experience working on bulk material handling projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering efforts for design new products, product upgrades, modifications, and new development (R&D) within our product portfolio.
  • Conduct structural and mechanical calculations to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Develop 3D models, shop drawings, specifications, and procedures for fabrication and assembly.
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Team to provide engineering support during equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
  • Work closely with the global engineering team to implement equipment upgrades, modifications, and repairs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Preferably over ten years of experience in mechanical engineering, including exposure to bulk material handling equipment in the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor) and mechanical systems design.
  • Deep understanding of machine design, structural analysis, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and resolving equipment breakdowns under time constraints.
