ESG Consultant – ESG & Impact Assessment

ERM is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Sustainable Finance team in Brazil. As a leading global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world's leading organizations to create innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver ESG advice to investors and financial institutions, leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge.
  2. Assess the ESG performance of companies, assets, financial instruments, or policy interventions, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
  3. Manage workstreams or smaller projects, reporting to Team Leaders and Partners, and collaborating with client representatives.
  4. Execute complex technical tasks within client projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  5. Lead meetings and presentations to clients, effectively communicating ESG insights and recommendations.
  6. Write technical reports and prepare executive presentations, distilling complex information into actionable insights.
  7. Guide analysts and researchers, reviewing their deliverables and providing constructive feedback.
  8. Contribute to the improvement of methodologies and approaches of service offerings, driving innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  1. At least 2 years of experience in Sustainable Finance, including consulting or investment roles delivering technical ESG assessments to investors, or 4 years of experience in ESG/Impact assessments in an academic environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of ESG factors and frameworks, such as SASB, PCAF, Impact Management, IFC PS, ICMA Principles, and EU Taxonomy.
  3. Familiarity with financial markets and financial instruments, with a deep understanding of ESG considerations.
  4. Excellent writing skills in Portuguese, with advanced English language proficiency.
  5. Advanced user of the MS Office suite, with expertise in PowerPoint and Excel, and proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
  6. Academic background in engineering, business, or economic fields, with a post-graduation in ESG-related disciplines a plus.
