Enterprise Database Expert Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Enterprise Database Expert to join our DBA team. As a key member of the Software Architecture group, you will be responsible for designing, testing, planning, implementing, protecting, operating, managing, and maintaining enterprise databases.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, particularly in high availability environments. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning are essential.

  • Technical Expertise: Perform regular maintenance tasks, tune database settings for optimal performance, tackle complex database challenges, and monitor database performance to ensure fast query responses.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement advanced backup strategies and formulate comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
  • Performance Improvement: Implement database changes to improve performance, develop sharding and indexing policies, and run performance tests to validate recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Enhance team effectiveness through strategic collaboration with software architects, system administrators, engineers, and data analysts.
  • Strategy and Innovation: Contribute significantly to database strategy, innovate in areas of database architecture and security, and proactively make recommendations for system improvements.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance
