Job Title: Customer Service Associate I

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, addressing their queries and concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall image of our store by adhering to high standards of personal grooming, dress, and behavior. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, process transactions efficiently, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with questions and recommendations
  • Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
  • Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
  • Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
  • Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
  • Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
