Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Puppet, or similar to automate building, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and maintain the infrastructure for deployment pipelines, including servers, databases, load balancers, and other resources.
  • Monitor the performance of applications deployed in production environments and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the deployment process and applications, including implementing security measures such as SSL certificates, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand requirements, ensure alignment with the development process, and support successful deployment.
  • Continuously improve deployment processes through automation, identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Provide support to customers and end-users as needed, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployed applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful and timely deployment of software applications.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our platform.
  • Have the ability and flexibility to work with teams globally, across time zones.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a deployment role, complemented by a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Management, or alternatively, 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Certification in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in any one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Dockers or similar technologies and familiarity with Kubernetes or its equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills in automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Administration of databases, including MS SQL and Mongo.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
