Job Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in .NET C# to join our team as a consultant for a leading US-based insurance client based out of Brazil.

A successful candidate will be a skilled player-coach, capable of providing technical support to mid-level and junior developers while contributing to our codebase.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Framework / .NET Core and C# programming languages.
  • Built responsive user interfaces using MVC architecture and React components.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries.
  • Implement Entity Framework for data access layer and ORM functionality.
  • Apply dependency injection principles and design patterns for scalable application architecture.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards across the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in insurance applications and systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology roadmap planning.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in an agile work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET Framework / .NET Core and C# programming.
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC for web application development.
  • Solid understanding of React.js and modern JavaScript ES6+.
  • Advanced SQL Server skills including query optimization and database design.
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (Code First and Database First approaches).
  • Strong knowledge of dependency injection patterns and IoC containers.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience in insurance domain or financial services industry in a consulting capacity.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployment strategies.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, Jest).
