Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased parts supplied to our process.

  • Create and Send Notifications: Develop and send supplier notifications via SAP or other systems for production series items and new projects, performing critical analyses to confirm the quality issue, recording evidence of non-conformities, sending the notification to the supplier to address the issue, monitoring response deadlines for the actions taken to solve the problem, as well as monitoring the receipt of the corrected batch by the supplier.
  • Develop Inspection Models: Create inspection models for parts (incoming inspection), conducting critical analysis of the project, identifying the characteristics to be controlled, creating characteristic sheets in the system, and providing feedback in case of quality issues.
  • Monitor Quarantine Area: Monitor the quarantine area for rejected or under-analysis parts through audits to compare systemic vs. physical stock, performing analysis to determine the need for rework and/or to request deviation for use, arranging the return of the item to the supplier and requesting credit/debit in scrap-eligible cases.
  • Participate in Global Meetings: Participate in global supplier meetings to align on topics related to failure mode analysis, critical suppliers, escalation processes for critical issues, suggestions for new procedures, and standardization of work.
  • Support Receiving Inspectors: Provide support to receiving inspectors by assisting with inspection methods, material certification analysis, evaluation of rejected items, organizing containment for nonconforming parts, monitoring third-party inspection companies, and supporting the definition of inspection/containment priorities.
  • Send Defective Components: Send suspected defective components to the Metrology and/or Macrography Laboratory, providing necessary support for measurement execution and evaluation of the final report.
  • Monitor Supplier Scoring: Monitor supplier scoring by compiling monthly data on supplier complaints, overdue notifications, evaluating PPM for each supplier, as well as data from other departments that impact supplier performance.
  • Organize Evaluations: Organize evaluations of PPAP samples for dimensional measurements in the metrology or macrography laboratory or other tests, analyze the PPAP documentation submitted by the supplier through the local or Global ASQ, determine whether the evaluated PPAP will be approved, interim, or rejected.
  • Support Purchasing Department: Support the purchasing department in the development of new projects and suppliers.
  • Perform Other Related Activities: Perform other related professional activities inherent to the position, as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor.
  • Lead Critical Items: Lead critical items with suppliers and/or production line.
  • Coordinate Team: Coordinate a team of technicians to support supplier management.
