Job Summary:

Messer North America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Area Maintenance and Reliability Hub Team, you will provide technical engineering support and SME recommendations for all instrumentation, analytical, and controls equipment utilized within our facilities.

As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from troubleshooting and maintenance to new installations and upgrades. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to our operations teams, as well as collaborating with external contractors to ensure accurate scope completion and proper documentation updates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to operations teams on instrumentation, analytical, and controls equipment.
  • Collaborate with external contractors to ensure accurate scope completion and proper documentation updates.
  • Develop and execute instrumentation turnaround maintenance activities, including instrument replacement, upgrades, new installations, calibrations, and functional checks.
  • Manage and provide technical support to instrument contractors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support the certification process of Instrumentation Technicians in ISA CCST (Certified Control Systems Technician) Level I, Level II & Level III.
  • Provide guidance and support for required training for the ISA certification process of Instrumentation Technicians.
  • Travel as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in an operational and engineering environment working with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
